MANCHESTER, NH – The City of Manchester Health Department, with the input of a multitude of community partners and hundreds of resident voices, has released a portfolio of ten community needs assessments and community health improvement plans for Manchester action.
These are in addition to the previously released publications designed to address two of the priority areas identified in the 2022 Greater Manchester Community Health Needs Assessment: 2024 City of Manchester Overdose Prevention Strategy and the 2023 City of Manchester, NH Healthy Food Access Plan.
As the Institute of Medicine cites, measurably improving the health of communities is a shared
responsibility for its protection and improvement, involving a wide range of individuals, organizations and agencies.
In the city of Manchester, the Health Department works with all sectors of the community to monitor, anticipate, and address emerging health threats by producing community health needs assessments and community health improvement plans every three years. This portfolio is a summation of the current body of work designed to inspire and advance evidence- based practices throughout City neighborhoods and priority populations that will optimize prevention, cost-savings and quality of life for all.
