MANCHESTER, NH โ A Manchester man, employed as a paraprofessional by the Hooksett School District, is under arrest on 12 counts of possession of child sexual abuse images.
Henry Clark, 59, was arrested Monday morning after a lengthy investigation that began in December 2024, according to Manchester police. At that time, police received a tip from an outside agency concerning explicit images of child pornography.
Investigators with the departmentโs Cyber Crime Unit identified an address in the city and obtained a search warrant for devices belonging to Clark at the residence. Police said those devices contained numerous child sexual abuse images.
Clark was a paraprofessional employed since October 2024 at Memorial School in Hooksett. He had not worked since June 2025 because he was on a medical leave, according to a letter sent to parents on Monday from William J. Rearick, superintendent of schools.
Having learned of his arrest, Rearick said the school district notified the staffing agency, which he did not identify, employing Clark of the charges and that he will not be allowed back on school property and cannot provide any future services to the district.
โPlease know that currently we have no indication that any alleged actions/images involved our students, staff, or school property and at no time did the individual have access to district-issued technology,โ Rearick wrote.
He said the district is cooperating with investigators.
โThe safety and well-being of our students is our highest priority,โ he wrote. โWe know that his news is very disturbing and unsettling. Our school counselors are available to provide support to students who may have questions or concerns. In addition, Memorial Principal Brad Largy and I are available should you wish to discuss this matter further.โ
A man named Henry Clark, who was a registered behavioral therapist, was a witness in January 2024 to an incident in which Louis Efstanthiou, a behavioral therapist at Parker-Varney Elementary School, was charged with assaulting an autistic 7-year-old, blackening the childโs eye and leaving handprints on his face. Efstanthiou, an employee of Applied ABC, was fired.
Clark worked in Efstatiouโs classroom and was at recess with the group when the incident happened. He told the detective he saw Efstatiou pull H.J. up by the hood and felt that it was excessive and inappropriate.
