
MANCHESTER, NH – Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with artmaking, storytelling, and inspiration at the Currier Museum of Art. This community event, hosted in partnership with the Racial Unity Team and generously sponsored by Citizens, is free and open to all.
“At the Currier, we bring people together by telling stories with art,” says Jordana Pomeroy, Director and CEO of the museum. “On this day of reflection and service, we invite our community to gather and celebrate the vital stories told by Black American artists.”
The Community Celebration takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 pm on January 19 and offers something for everyone.

- Tap into your creativity with hands-on artmaking connected to themes of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
- Join our museum curators for guided tours of Black American artists in the Currier collection.
- Learn how the Racial Unity Team inspires young people through art and poetry.
- Get inspired by a keynote address from Jada Hebra, Senior Vice President and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at Southern New Hampshire University.
