Local man faces slew of new charges after recent arrests

    MANCHESTER, N.H. – A city man faces new charges related to an attempted burglary at DEKA on Nov. 12.

    According to police, Clay Humphrey, 32,  now faces 13 additional charges on top of alleged burglary and felony theft from that incident. He has also been charged with three counts of kidnapping and robbery and two counts of criminal threatening following an Oct. 23 burglary at the Turkish Center on Chestnut Street. During the Turkish Center incident, he allegedly threatened to shoot three people and lock them in a room.

    Additionally, Humphrey faces charges connected to allegedly receiving stolen goods and fraudulent use of a credit card at Home Dept, which he was arrested for on Oct. 30, and an additional count of alleged burglary, credit card fraud, and receiving stolen property.

    Humphrey was scheduled for arraignment Dec. 3 at Hillsborough County Superior Court.

    Anyone accused of a crime is innocent unless proven guilty by a court of law.
