Man, 24, dies after medical emergency at Valley Street Jail

    MANCHESTER, NH —  A man who was taken by ambulance Tuesday morning from the Valley Street jail has died, police said.

    Nicholas Sacco, 24, was reportedly being admitted to the jail when he experienced a medical problem.  Manchester firefighters provided medical aid at the jail before Sacco was transported to a hospital.

    Heather Hamel, public information officer for Manchester police, said Sacco died Wednesday. An autopsy was performed by the state medical examiner but the cause of death won’t be released until toxicology tests are complete.

    Sacco had been arrested for a probation violation, Hamel said.

    Hamel said no other information is being released at this time.
