MANCHESTER, NH – Griseliz Glenn, a resident of the city, was arrested during Tuesday night’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting. She came to the meeting to speak during public comment, asking for greater accountability for the Manchester Police, particularly demanding that officers under investigation for excessive force not return to patrol until those investigations have concluded.
Individuals at public comment are given three minutes to provide their comment and Glenn was advised by City Clerk Matt Normand and Manchester Mayor Jay Ruais that her time had expired, but she continued to speak.

Ruais used his gavel to try and get Glenn to yield the microphone and leave from the testimony area. Eventually she walked away but a verbal altercation ensued between Glenn and Michael Martioski, a resident seated in the chambers, who testified earlier in the meeting. Glenn was asked by Ruais to stop yelling, but she continued to do so, even as the next person began to provide his testimony. Ruais recessed the meeting and Glenn was escorted from the chambers by police.
Once outside she was handcuffed and taken to the police station.
According to police, Glenn will be charged with disorderly conduct and charges related to threats made during the meeting following her testimony.
UPDATE 12:34 a.m., 5/20/26 – Manchester Ink Link has obtained comment from Glenn indicating that she has not been charged with criminal threatening. A request for further information has been made to Manchester Police Chief Peter Marr.
Anyone arrested is innocent unless proven guilty through due process of the law.
