Educators back Dexter to strengthen schools and invest in Manchester’s future.
MANCHESTER, NH – The Manchester Education Association (MEA) announced its endorsement of Dana Dexter for Ward 3 Alderman. The MEA, which represents more than 1,000 educators and staff, works to advance education, improve instructional opportunities, and uphold ethical practices and professional standards within the Manchester school system.
“Manchester students deserve schools that open doors to opportunity,” said Sue Hannan, President of the Manchester Education Association. “Strong public schools are essential to every child’s future and to the strength of our community. Dana Dexter has shown he values education and will be a partner in making sure every student can succeed.”
Dexter, a career public servant, has also dedicated much of his life to teaching and mentorship. Educated in the public school system, he has taught in community arts programs, guided high school students in leadership and civics, and often lectures on technology and public safety. A lifelong learner, he recently completed a master’s degree in digital forensics, further strengthening his ability to bridge public service and advanced study.
“I am honored to have the endorsement of the Manchester Education Association,” Dexter said. “Families look at our schools when deciding to move here, businesses depend on a skilled workforce, and safe, well-resourced schools help reduce long-term costs for the city. With both local and state funding challenges ahead, we need leaders who can bring all parties to the table and find solutions that strengthen schools without placing new burdens on residents. In Ward 3, where our neighborhoods and downtown carry so much of Manchester’s future, I will work every day to ensure our students, teachers, and schools have the tools they need to thrive.”
