MANCHESTER, NH – Rehabilitation work on the Amoskeag Bridge Eastbound will require the closure of the Amoskeag Bridge Westbound during the night/morning hours (11 p.m.-7 a.m.) of October 31-November 1, 2025.

Detours and electronic message bords will be in place.  The posted detour will send traffic to  Bridge St, Elm Street, and Eddy Road.

This closure is required for the placement of the mid-span bridge deck sections on the Eastbound bridge and is weather-dependent.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes to avoid delays.  And stay informed through the City of Manchester and DPW’s website, Facebook, and Nixle alerts.

The $18.9 million project is contracted to New England Infrastructure of Hudson, MA, with funding from the New Hampshire Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration (80%), and the City of Manchester (20%). Completion is scheduled for November 2026.
