Co-authors Terry Farish and Lochan Sharma, in partnership with Building Community in New Hampshire, are hosting a discussion about immigration and belonging in New Hampshire on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Bookery in Manchester. The discussion will center around their newly released book, Go Home, a YA novel that explores identity, community, and belonging through the lens of three teenagers.

There’s going to be a lot of fun stuff going on around New Hampshire for Halloween. Along with the obvious Trick-or-Treating, there are some vibrant parties and plenty of live music happening around the Granite State to ring in “All Hallow’s Eve.”
The Derryfield School Lyceum Gallery is proud to present Finding Home: Images and Memories of New Hampshire’s Immigrants, an exhibition by award-winning photographer Becky Field. The exhibit will run from November 8, 2024, through January 24, 2025, and will feature a compelling selection of photographs based on Field’s book Finding Home. The opening reception will be held on November 8th from 5-6 p.m., followed by the opening performance of The Laramie Project by The Derryfield School Theatre Company.

Manchester will soon have a new brewery to celebrate, Republic Brewing Company, making a nod to a fondly remembered restaurant from the pre-pandemic days. This new brewery has been in the works for a while, and is the vision of Pete Macone and Mike Brown.
Opening to the public on October 26, 2024, this new exhibition brings together six artworks by American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960–1988), one of the most celebrated and influential artists of his generation, and seven large canvases by New York–based Ivorian painter Ouattara Watts (b. 1958).
AmeriHealth Caritas New Hampshire distributed more than 230 Halloween costumes as part of an open event on Wednesday, October 9.
One of the many examples of this is the immensely talented saxophonist Grace Kelly. The Wellesley, Mass., native is always doing something cool with her music, which includes her latest album “Grace Kelly with Strings: At The Movies” that came out on March 1.
Saturday was a celebration of the women who helped build the Queen City. A city-sponsored mural, “Women and Girls of Amoskeag” created by Harry Umen, Professor of Design and Media Arts, Southern New Hampshire University, was dedicated and is now officially part of the cityscape.

One example is Hush Club, which consists of Alasdair Mackenzie, Liz Kantor and Chris Haley. On October 19, this talented trio are going to be performing at The Press Room in Portsmouth. The show starts at 8 p.m. with fellow Bostonians Copilot rounding out the bill.
Magic Man is bringing his magic to Manchester 6pm Friday and 6pm Sunday October 18th and 20th 2024.
On October 18 at The Shaskeen Pub and Restaurant in downtown Manchester, there’s going to be a stacked punk rock show starting at 8 p.m. Boston punk stalwarts Rebuilder are going to be headlining while fellow Bostonians Cigarette Camp are going to be opening things up.
Must be, has to be, the Season of the Witch. Manchester’s Margo Burns is a historian, researcher, writer, teacher, linguist, presenter, both in-person and on television, and an expert in the 1692 and 1693 witch hunt and trials around Salem Village, Massachusetts. Oh, she’s also the 10th generation great-granddaughter of Rebecca Nurse, who was hanged as a witch at the age of 71 in Salem despite being a fully-covenanted member of the church.
