Easterseals New Hampshire announced last week that Nancy Rollins of New London has been appointed to the position of Chief Strategy Officer for New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont.
“I connected with so many women in this business that felt compelled and comfortable enough to share their most private and traumatic experiences with me. I realized that the store wasn’t just about helping people have healthy sexual relationships, or women especially being more comfortable with their sexuality, but that it provided a platform to help connect women to the help they need for their own healing,” says Sophia Raymond.

Building On Hope is accepting submissions from in-state, non-profit organizations in need of significant improvements to facilities they operate. Since it formed in 2009, Building On Hope has completed $3.6 million in renovations to four New Hampshire organizations including Easter Seals NH, Girls Incorporated, Opportunity Networks and Manchester Police Athletic League (MPAL) through donated goods and labor.
Bob’s outreach team was joined by a face painter for the event, and donated 100 copies of Rabe’s book, as well as 100 “Cat in the Hat” character hats, and 100 Bob’s Discount Furniture blankets. Bob’s partnered with Reach Out and Read to create the year-long “Rocking the Road to Read with Bob’s Outreach,” to increase early literacy by bringing smiles and books to local children.
Research for the plan revealed that New Hampshire lags behind the national average in growth in research and development for both industry and universities; has untapped opportunities for industry-university collaborations; shortfalls in the level of entrepreneurial activity needed to drive future growth; and challenges keeping up with the demand for attracting and retaining skilled workers. However, it offers specific recommendations to address these challenges.
