TheCircle of Addiction: A Different Kind of Tears”

MANCHESTER, NH – On July 23 Wahl St. Productions and Addiction Campuses premiered the latest in a series of films designed to make a difference in the opioid epidemic, from Jim Wahlberg.

Filmed in large part in Manchester with great support from the state of New Hampshire and the city of Manchester and its first responders, the premiere at Chunky’s Cinema Pub was a chance for those instrumental in getting the film made, and those most affected by this epidemic – families who’ve lost loved ones –  an opportunity to view the film and participate in a community Q&A/panel discussion afterwards.

During the premiere, Addiction Campuses’ Andrew McKenna joined a panel of experts to answer questions regarding local treatment and the importance of well-rounded facilities in New Hampshire.

McKenna, a former federal prosecutor who is in recovery now, spent more than five years in federal prison after robbing banks to fuel a heroin addiction stemming from a back injury. Today, McKenna is a Treatment Specialist and works on the front lines of the opioid epidemic in New Hampshire and the northeast.
