MANCHESTER, NH โ€“ A city man was arrested, charged with stabbing his father in the leg following an argument Jan. 6 during which he threatened to kill his father.

Mark Geden, 21, was charged with criminal threatening, a felony, and first-degree assault.

Manchester Police Patrol officers responded to a Rosedale Avenue address at approximately 4 a.m. on January 6 for a domestic incident involving father and son.

Upon arrival, officers met with the father, 53, in one of the bedrooms, who told police his son, later identified as Mark Geden, had been actingย ย โ€œstrangelyโ€ throughout the course of the day. This interaction culminated inย an argument between father and son. At one point in the argument, the son allegedly threatened to kill his father and after several minutes,ย they had a physical confrontation in which the father wasย stabbed in the leg by his son, police said.

The non-life threatening injury was serious enough to seek medical treatment at a local hospital. The alleged weapon used (needle nose pliers) was retrieved from the scene by the police. Geden was scheduled for arraignmentย Jan. 6 in theย ย 9th Circuit Court-Manchester.
