MANCHESTER, NH โ€” Campaigning for president in New Hampshire means rubbing elbows with the movers and shakers, and sometimes includes getting shoved by a world-famous inventor and fellow technophile.

That’s exactly what happened during a campaign stop in Manchester where Yang got to test out Dean Kamen’s iBOT wheelchair, which was is being relaunched after 20 years of development. Yang Tweeted about his adventure:

In demonstrating the unique balancing mechanism of the iBOT, Kamen addressed Yang as “Mr. President,” and with a gentle shove backward, showed how if someone were to push him while seated in the precarious-looking wheelchair, he wouldn’t teeter or fall, but simply glide back.

“This president is a cyborg,” Yang said.

Yang’s next scheduled stop was the popular True Brew Barista and Cafรฉ ย in Concord Saturday at 10:30 a.m., ending a three-day campaign sweep in New Hampshire, with stops Thursday and Friday in Peterborough, Portsmouth, Hudson and Nashua.
