MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester residents will have a new retail destination to discover exceptional wines and spirits at some of the nation’s lowest prices. The New Hampshire Liquor Commission (NHLC) will transform the former Rite Aid at 1631 Elm Street in Manchester’s North End into a new 12,000-square-foot NH Liquor & Wine Outlet. The North End location will be the third NH Liquor & Wine Outlet serving New Hampshire’s largest city. NHLC anticipates the Outlet will open in early 2026.
“We appreciate our customers’ patience as our team carefully worked to identify the ideal location for our NH Liquor & Wine Outlet in Manchester,” said NHLC Chairman Joseph Mollica.
“This new location is highly visible, easily accessible and will offer an expansive selection of wine, spirits, alcohol-free options, cocktail ingredients and accessories.”
The 1631 Elm Street location will replace the NH Liquor & Wine Outlet previously located at 1100 Bicentennial Drive at North Side Plaza in Manchester (Store #33).
Work is underway to transform the former Rite Aid into a state-of-the-art, 12,000-square-foot NH Liquor & Wine Outlet with ample parking. The interior will have all new finishes, energy-efficient lighting and offer a bright and spacious shopping experience. Customers will easily find top brands as well as NH Liquor & Wine Outlet’s famed Outlet Power Buys and single barrel whiskey and tequila selections. Luxury items, including high-end, collectible wines from around the world, will be featured in climate and humidity-controlled wine vaults and ultra-premium spirits will be enclosed in glass display cases. A growing selection of chilled products will be available along with alcohol-free options, mixers, cocktail ingredients, accessories and more.
“We are proud to continue our longstanding partnership with the New Hampshire Liquor Commission and deliver an incredible shopping experience to customers,” said Dick Anagnost, president of Anagnost Investments and owner of the property.
The North End NH Liquor & Wine Outlet marks the 41st Outlet that has been renovated or relocated since 2012. This effort, along with other strategic business enhancements, has resulted in wide-ranging industry praise and awards – including NH Liquor & Wine Outlets being named one of the nation’s top five retailers by Beverage Dynamics and the nation’s top control state by StateWays Magazine.
