La Sanse is a lively festival celebrated every third weekend of January in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, a tradition dating back to the 1950s. Also known as the San Sebastiรกn Street Festival (Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastiรกn), it marks the unofficial close of Puerto Ricoโs holiday season and attracts more than 200,000 visitors each year. โOut of darkness, into the marvelous lightโ โ A community celebration of MLK Jr., First Baptist Church of Nashua, Nashua, NH โ First Baptist Church of Nashua will again host what is NHโs oldest annual tribute to the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. on Saturday, Jan. 17. at 6 pm. The 2026 celebration will feature the Rev. Cheryl Harris, who returns as dynamic keynote speaker. This 44th annual tribute to the late MLK, Jr. will feature lively performances by The First Baptist Church Choir, The NH Gay Menโs Chorus, The Nashua Interfaith Chorus, and a solo featuring Julia Leonard. 2026 MLK Jr. Community Celebration: โUplifting Resistance through Communityโ, Memorial High School, Manchester, NH โ The 44th Annual MLK Jr. Community Celebration will take place on Monday, Jan. 19 from 11 am – 4 pm at Memorial High School, 1 Crusader Way. The event, organized annually by the Martin Luther King Jr. Coalition, is a day-long event. Highlights include musical performances by a community choir and special recognition for this yearโs MLK Jr. Award winner, the Hon.
