The City of Manchester is developing the fourth set of zoning ordinances in its history, with 12 community meetings about the proposal spread across the city’s 12 wards last year. Anyone that missed the first of those meetings, the last of those meetings, or any of the ten in-between is now in luck as a 63-page report has been released recapping all of the data provided from the over 1,000 people that attended those meetings.

Manchester residents will see a 19 percent increase on their sewer bill following a vote by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen on Tuesday night after the board learned without action, the Manchester Department of Public Works’ Environmental Protection Division (EPD) would see a zero-fund balance by Fiscal Year 2029.

The Manchester Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA) will hear a request for variances on a planned six-story 50-unit multi-family dwelling at 516 Elm St., the current location of the Gaslight District Diner. The building is proposed to have two studio apartments and eight two-bedroom units on the top five floors of the building with a likely commercial use on the first floor and underground parking.
