Misuse of drugs continues to top the list as the most important problem facing New Hampshire, according to the lastest WMUR Granite State Poll.

This map displays the recorded NH House of Representatives vote on Floor Amendment #2016-0941h, which removed funding for the Capitol Corridor passenger rail project from HB 2016. Its primary purpose is to allow citizens to quickly see how their representatives voted.
The money will be used around the state to support new services such as withdrawal management services, medication assisted treatment and various 24/7 crisis services, including a new statewide crisis hotline.
“Our strained mental health system and the heroin and opioid crisis are urgent public health and safety challenges facing our state, and as substance misuse and mental illness can often co-occur, we know that strengthening behavioral health requires an integrated, holistic approach,” Gov. Hassan said.
An amendment to remove the rail study from the 10-year transportation funding plan passed by 12 votes – and at least 16 Hillsborough County delegates were absent from the voting process on Thursday, which could have changed the outcome.
