As part of the review design, CSF will review 100 randomly selected DCYF cases, including allegations of maltreatment at the intake level that were determined to be unfounded; reports of maltreatment of children in which investigations were opened; and cases involving children and families that were ongoing during a specified period of time.
Robert Keefe had the option of taking home $1,000 a day for life, or a one-time cash payout of $5.75 million, before taxes. Keefe bought his winning ticket at the Hannaford Supermarket at 859 Hanover Street in Manchester for the drawing on March 3.
Last week 18 New Hampshire activists gathered to deliver petitions to Sen. Kelly Ayotte’s Manchester office, demanding that Ayotte “stop putting politics over the Constitution” and instead give fair consideration to President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee.
“Year after year we sit here and we have not taken one step. I think we bear a responsibility to the voters to try and do something. We have time to explore. The superintendent is here at every single meeting and he can report back to us on the progress of the program,” State Rep Mary Heath said. “Right now, a person who is arrested and put into the county system gets absolutely no special treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. When are we going to take action?”

The lucky winner will take home $1,000 a day for life, before taxes. This is the second Lucky for Life top prize winner sold in New Hampshire since the game launched in March 2012.
The hearing, entitled “Addressing VA Opioid Prescriptions and Pain Management Practices,” examined current pain management practices within the Veterans Administration and its connection to the ongoing opioid epidemic sweeping across New Hampshire and the rest of the country.
“The House Public Works and Highways Committee has a unique opportunity to leverage federal dollars at no cost to New Hampshire taxpayers and take the next step in the process of expanding passenger rail from Boston to Manchester,” said Michael Izbicki, Chairman of the NH Rail Transit Authority.
The Manchester session will be held March 9 from 6-8 p.m. at City Hall, third-floor Aldermanic chambers.
