MANCHESTER, NH โ A Concord man was indicted on two counts of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of a 60-year-old man in a Union Street apartment last May.

Ramadhani Idrisa Kiki, 39,ย address was listed as 181 Loudon St., Concord, when he was arrested but in indictments is now listed in care of attorneys Jeremy Clemans and Katherine Courville.ย He is accused of stabbing Derekย Brooklynโ Jones Sr., 60, more than a dozen times on May 27, 2025.ย Jones was found dead on the floor in the doorway of his apartment at 434 Union St., the knifeย still lodged in his chest.
A Hillsborough County Superior Court Northern District grand jury indicted him on alternative counts of second-degree murder, one accusing him of recklessly causing Joneโs death and the other charging he knowingly killed the older man.
Kiki also was indicted on a charge of false imprisonment, a class A misdemeanor, for allegedly confining Emma Varley to the apartment when he told her and or physically attempted to block her from exiting the apartment at 434 Union St. He also is charged with simple assault for grabbing her by the back of her neck.
Jones was killed inside apartment 303. When police arrived on the scene, Kiki was outside the building, covered in blood and yelling that he had killed someone. He was taken to a hospital.
According to court documents, a resident called 911 that day at 7:43 a.m. asking police to check on the condition of โBrooklynโ who lives in apartment 303. The caller said Brooklyn was punching walls and yelling and that someone was trying to calm him down and that it โsounded very bad.โ Other people also called 911 saying a man was in the common hallway trying to get into other apartments. That man, callers said, had blood on him and was saying he just murdered someone.
Kiki told officers he had just murdered someone. He was detained and handcuffed as other officers entered the 434 Union St. building. Kiki had blood on his back and cuts to his right hand. His left leg was bleeding and swollen. He was wearing dark-colored boxers.
Kiki told an officer that the guy โhad his sisterโ and that she screamed. When she screamed, he said he already had the knife. He also said someone had kidnapped his sister and held her hostage for 13 years. He also told the officer that โhe pulled a knife and look how many times he cut me.โ
Police found Jones dead, the knife still in his chest, lying on his back in the doorway of his apartment. He had suffered more than a dozen stab wounds
A resident of a third-floor apartment, who was the first to call 911, told police about 6 a.m. she heard yelling and an argument between two men, one she knew as โBrooklyn.โ The argument had to do with a girlfriend, she said.
Another person told police she believed the argument was over a drug debt.
She also told detectives that she believed โEโ wanted to hook up Brooklyn with his mother but mentioned his sister, who is 23 years old. She didnโt know how the conversation transitioned from his mother to his sister.
She said Kiki was more fit than Brooklyn, who she described as frail, and said she left the apartment because she was frightened by the altercation between the two men.
The charges against Ramadhani Idrisa Kiki is only an allegation, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
