The new rule, “Prudence and Loyalty in Selecting Plan Investments and Exercising Shareholder Rights,” will take effect on January 30, 2023.  Two-thirds of the U.S. population’s retirement savings accounts would be affected, totaling $12 trillion in assets.  Strict laws placed in ERISA are intended to protect retirement savings from unnecessary risk.

During Tuesday night’s Board of Aldermen meeting Manchester Fire Chief Ryan Cashin reported to the board that after exploring all vacant buildings in the city, 39 Beech St. was identified as the best option for standing up a full-time shelter. Cost for a three-month lease, utilities, insurance and fitting up the building is $518,000.

Judge Kissinger wrote that while the Court is sympathetic to the plight of the people living at the camp, the situation is distinguishable from Martin.  “Considering the grave risks to public health and safety posed by the ongoing presence of the encampment on public sidewalks in downtown Manchester and the availability of safe alternatives for the people living in the encampment, a temporary restraining order is not justified.”

The Granite YMCA was recently awarded $1 Million Dollars in grant funding by Hillsborough County. The award is part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding from which the Hillsborough County Board of Commissioners has approved $12,419,645 to area non-profits.
