Bar Harbor Bank & Trust employees are donating more than $10,000 collected in Q2 from its employee-driven charitable giving program, Casual for a Cause, to 14 non-profits serving Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. The non-profits receiving donations were selected by and voted on by the employees.

The New Hampshire Business Finance Authority (BFA) announces that it will be administering the distribution of funding for New Hampshire businesses and non-profits that may have “fallen through the cracks” and have not been able to qualify for funding through the state’s Main Street Relief Fund (MSRF), the Non-Profit Emergency Relief Fund (NERF), or the Self Employed Livelihood Fund (SELF).

When I took the role as the new President of Families in Transition-New Horizons (FIT-NH) just over one month ago, I made a commitment to foster the care for basic needs of people in this area. This has been and will remain a joint effort in our community, it is the only way to succeed. Fire Chief Dan Goonan said those services – portable toilets, handwashing stations and food delivery – will still be available to the homeless population but they will have to go to other locations to access them.
