Often, there is an unspoken understanding that the month of February should invoke strong feelings of pride, determination, and motivation for everyone, but most notably those who identify as Black or African American. And while that is certainly true for a lot of people, there is a more complex understanding of how the celebration of Black History Month can feel, when Black folk are a small minority population of an area. Those complexities can usher in mixed feelings about Black identity and its perception of the diaspora at large.

His 2023 financial disclosure does not mention that his wife, Sharon Osborne, serves as Chairman of the Board at Latitude Learning, a homeschool cooperative. Rep. Osborne is required to report this potential conflict in his disclosure. However, this oversight is not his only violation of the public trust.

Growing up, I don’t ever recall either of my parents becoming sick enough from seasonal afflictions (flu, cold, etc.) to take time from being a parent and employee to spend a week in bed or on the couch slowly recuperating, sipping tea, and watching the test pattern on television.

A public meeting will be held to share the initial results of the study and to allow members of the local community to provide their feedback and perspectives on the Initial Findings of the Mail Processing Facility Review (MPFR).  The meeting will be held Thursday, February 8, 2 p.m. at Southern New Hampshire University, Webster Hall – Mara Auditorium.
