At first, I observed small tattoos appearing as butterflies or flowers at the ankle, below the naval (which I didn’t see unless on the beach), or on the shoulder, typically disguised by clothing except perhaps during the summer. Now it seems, elaborate tattoos are planned well in advance, intricate elaborate color drawings not just limited to those unseen areas; think a sleeve of tattoos, elaborate tattoos scenes on the back and elsewhere, the EKG of someone close to them, children’s names, and even pictures of beloved dogs or cats.

There was plenty discussed this weekend about the Democratic National Committee’s decision regarding New Hampshire’s role in the Presidential Primary Nomination Calendar, as there has been in recent months and likely in future months as well. In the end though, did this weekend’s decision to officially put South Carolina first really matter? History proves that, given a choice between passenger rail and congested roads, commuters will overwhelmingly choose the latter.  I-93 in Mass and I-95 in Maine are highly visible nearby examples of under-utilized trains near over-capacity roads.  NH is no different.  There is insufficient rail demand to justify the expense.
