Fish and Game Officials would like to use this incident as a reminder to those recreating on frozen water bodies of the dangers associated with ice. This year’s inconsistent weather patterns have made ice conditions vary more than usual, even up in the northern parts of the state.
The Fish and Game Commission is proposing to issue a total of 50 bobcat permits through a lottery process. The draft season would be similar to New Hampshire’s fisher season, with December trapping and January hunting. The proposal would take effect in December of 2016.

Last weekend’s game at The Verizon between the Elmira Jackals and Manchester Monarchs brought a heartfelt presence, honoring breast cancer survivors with the annual “Pink in the Rink” game.

On Jan. 29 Memorial HS Swim teams swam their last meet of the regular season vs. Merrimack, Timberlane, Central, West and Trinity. This was an invitational style swim meet designed without relay races.

The Manchester Monarchs and Catholic Medical Center will be hosting their annual Pink in the Rink game on Saturday, February 6 at 7 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arena to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer. Proceeds from the night will go to Catholic Medical Center’s Breast Care Center.
The Monarchs travel to Orlando for three games against the Solar Bears Jan. 27-31 and return to the Verizon Wireless Arena on Feb. 6 (7 p.m.) for Pink in the Rink against the Elmira Jackals.
