The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (27-32) and Somerset Patriots (New York Yankees, 38-21) were rained out on May 7 in New Jersey. On Wednesday night, the two made up the game in a doubleheader at Delta Dental Stadium with each team playing as the home team once. The Fisher Cats lost, 2-0 and 4-3, in a pair of closely contested seven-inning games.

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (24-28) split their Wednesday doubleheader with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (New York Mets, 20-32) to begin their six-game set at Mirabito Stadium in southern New York. Stellar pitching and two homers carried the Fisher Cats to a win, 2-1, in game one. In game two, New Hampshire twice squandered the bases loaded and lost, 4-1.

On Wednesday, the Manchester Board of School Committee (BOSC) Finance and Facilities Committee voted to recommend approval of a five-year contract with Play On/Pixellot to live stream events from Gill Stadium, William “Bill” Meisel Veterans Memorial Field at Manchester West High School, the Clem Lemaire Athletic Complex at Manchester Memorial High School and the gymnasiums of the city’s three public high schools.

The Manchester Hockey Roos program announces its 4th season of youth field hockey program this summer: Monday evenings starting June 27 at Manchester West High School’s Turf Field from 5 to 6 p.m. will be “Summer Jump!” a free program open to fourth through eighth-graders.
