MANCHESTER, NH – A nor’easter has descended on the region, bringing several inches of snow to the city and surrounding area – the first big snow of the season.
With that comes all the things – schools canceled, City Hall closed early and supermarkets scrambling to keep up with the demand for bread, milk and eggs.
With the early closure of City Hall, the regularly scheduled Board of Aldermen meeting has been postponed until Wednesday Dec. 3.
It also means winter parking emergency rules are in play – so no parking on all city streets from 10 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2025, until 6 a.m. Wednesday December 3, 2025, by which time the snow should have moved on. - Livingston Park (lot at end of Beech St only; gravel parking lot behind Dunkin Donuts) 8:00 PM TUESDAY to 9:00 AM WEDNESDAY.
- Public Parking Lot north of Tru Hotel (entrance off Kidder Street)
8:00 PM TUESDAY to 9:00 AM WEDNESDAY.
- Pearl Street Parking Lot (off Orange Street, between Elm and Chestnut Streets)
8:00 PM TUESDAY to 6:00 AM WEDNESDAY.
Unauthorized vehicles in this lot outside of these times will be subject to parking tickets.
- Behind West Side Arena (2 Electric Street)
8:00 PM TUESDAY to 8:00 AM WEDNESDAY.

Vehicles parking outside these times will be subject to parking fees of $0.75 per hour, which can be paid at any meter in the garage.
- Hartnett Lot (Chestnut Street and Concord Street across from St. Joseph’s Cathedral)

- Gill Stadium Parking Lot (at the intersection of Valley Street & Beech Street)

What if your car is towed?
Vehicles that are impounded will be stored at the City’s Vehicle Impoundment Area, located in Derryfield Park off of Bridge Street. In order to recover an impounded vehicle, the owner will be required to present proof of ownership and make a payment of $200 in cash. Vehicles not recovered within 24 hours will be subject to additional towing and storage charges.
