We have been preparing to expand in-person learning starting May 3. We selected May 3 because by that time, the majority of our staff will be fully immunized for COVID-19.
Weekly round-up of news for school district families.
Under the school district’s COVID-19 metric, a school must move to remote learning if a cluster of cases is confirmed. A cluster is defined as 3 or more cases in the same class or area of a school.Â

The key change is how the district will decide between having students learning in school versus remote learning. The change allows the district to make these decisions on a school-by-school basis, depending on the level of school impact of COVID-19. Goldhardt cautioned that everyone needs to be flexible as students return to school buildings.
There are two reasons for the request to go fully remote: difficulty with staffing due to quarantines and the rapidly rising number of COVID-19 cases.
