At approximately 2:44 p.m., dispatch received a call for smoke in the building at 70 West River Dr. Companies were dispatched and reported heavy smoke coming from the second floor of a garden style apartment complex with 40 units occupied.
A woman was transported with serious injuries after a fire at a Morgan Street home Saturday.
During extinguishment and control the rear of the garage roof collapsed adding to the difficulty of extinguishing efforts. Companies worked to knock down the bulk of the fire in all areas followed by an extensive overhaul of the structure.
Manchester Fire Department personnel discovered the water main break while out on other calls.
One person has been displaced by the fire, which happened late Wednesday.
