BAE Systems is finalizing plans to occupy 3000 Goffs Falls Rd. to expand its operations. The bill is the product of a bi-partisan study committee held last summer and overwhelming bipartisan support throughout the legislative process in both the House and Senate. Just last week, House and Senate negotiators reached final agreement on HB 1697, setting the stage for today’s vote. HB 1697 now moves to the Governor for consideration.

The GMCC will announce the 2015 Citizen of the Year honoree prior to the Annual Dinner. This year’s dinner will be held on April 14, 2016 at the Radisson Hotel, Manchester. Since 1954, the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce has presented one outstanding individual with the Citizen of the Year award. This outstanding group of individuals has been paramount in shaping the local community through the history of Manchester and the region. The Citizen of the Year award recognizes an individual with outstanding leadership and citizenship in the community, while demonstrating exemplary vision, civic pride and commitment to the betterment of society.
The breakfast forum is set for Sept. 23. Cost is $25 for members/$35 for non-members.
