Mr. Mac’s believes Kids Should Kids…not Hungry – and on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, donated $1,000 each to two great organizations, the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Manchester, and the Manchester Police Athletic League. A total of $2000 was raised during the month of October with the Mr. Mac’s pledge of donating $1 for every Take & Bake order of their macaroni and cheese, often described as the “Best comfort food on the planet!”

The Solinsky Center for Cancer Care at The Elliot received a total of $41,544 from Millennium Running in funds raised during 2023, demonstrating the generosity of the company’s owners, and the running community. The Solinsky Center for Cancer Care was named Millennium Running’s official Charity of the Year and was the primary beneficiary of the Delta Dental/Elliot Corporate 5k race.

Just over 10 years ago Lori Scarito suffered a traumatic brain injury when a blockage in her airway left her near death on the floor of a Manchester restaurant. She awoke from her coma in a Mass General hospital bed despite dire predictions from the medical professionals based on a lack of measurable brain activity. She had survived.

ConvenientMD, New England’s leading urgent care provider, recently donated $1,250 to the Webster House. This comes as a result of each of its pledge made earlier this fall to make donations corresponding with the number of flu shots given at each clinic. 40 ConvenientMD urgent care clinics and four ConvenientMD primary care locations across New England have made donations to a local charity in their community. ConvenientMD has both an urgent care clinic as well as a primary care office in Manchester. Both locations chose The Webster House to be their recipient for this year’s donation.

On December 11th, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) NH district office held its annual lender appreciation ceremony recognizing the top SBA lenders at the Manchester Historic Association’s Millyard Museum. The award program included welcoming remarks from Amy Bassett, SBA NH District Director, congratulatory remarks by Congressman Chris Pappas (D-NH-01), New Hampshire economic and workforce trends updates from Phil Sletten, Research Director at the NH Fiscal Policy Institute, and the presentation of awards by Tuesday Perkins, SBA NH Lender Relation Specialist. The room was at capacity with over 80 lenders participating.

In September of 2023, Great NH Restaurants announced that CJ’s Great West Grill would be closing due to the loss of their lease. CJ’s Great West Grill opened in 1995 at 782 South Willow Street in Manchester,  NH, and has been a favorite destination restaurant ever since.
