Bartenders are some of this reporter’s favorite people. They’re friends, pharmacists, psychiatrists, DJs, and sometimes fight referees all wrapped up into one. This week I learned that sometimes they don a cape and do outstanding work for the community as well.

Last weekend, for the 20th year, 96.5 The Mill teamed up with three different Hannaford stores in Manchester to collect Tons of Turkeys! This year, we collected over 12 tons of turkey. All of the proceeds benefit The New Hampshire Food Bank to help families in need this holiday season.

Red River Theatres will host on December 7, 2022, at 6 p.m, a one-night-only screening of the 1990 documentary Paris is Burning, followed by a post-film discussion with special guest, Cece Suazo. Paris is Burning chronicles the New York City drag ballroom scene of the 1980s, and is culturally significant for its exploration of race, class, and gender, as well as its recognition of the Black, Latino, gay, and transgender communities that created ball culture.
