Unitil Corporation, (Unitil.com), a provider of natural gas and electricity to customers in New England, expects to have the customers who lost power following a significant winter storm Saturday to have power restored by Tuesday morning. Restoration to some single service issues and isolated pockets of customers may extend later into the day.

On March 29, Waypoint is hosting the 10th Anniversary SleepOut to raise awareness for young people experiencing homelessness. This event will bring together people from across the state to raise collective consciousness about homelessness and to be in unity with young people who have no choice but to sleep outside in communities all over New Hampshire every night.

At a recent Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce event on March 11, Chris Sununu responded to a question from an audience member asking how New Hampshire can provide a safe environment for the LGBTQ+ community. He replied that we’re doing well on LGBTQ+ inclusion and followed up by saying, “I tend not to focus on that stuff. Government isn’t here to solve it.” He later commented that he isn’t for discrimination.  Maybe he should act like it.

Symbolically, Palm Sunday is a declaration of victory over sin. It marks the end of Jesus’ earthly ministry as, this week would be his last week before dying on Good Friday. All of the events of Holy Week would be understood more clearly after Christ’s resurrection, Sunday morning. Palm Sunday was a procession of a king of another kind. One that would die to save His people, and die to pay for the sins of the whole world.

Our children deserve the most qualified person for the job. Just as Mark Zuckerberg wouldn’t hire me to run Meta, no matter how much I might surf Facebook and Instagram, New Hampshire shouldn’t be appointing someone with no experience working in public schools to oversee all programs and standards for our public schools.

Since 2000, the Manchester Urban Ponds Restoration Program has organized 130 cleanup events. Over the past 24 years, 1271 volunteers have spent approximately 4,063 hours collecting 2,741 bags of trash! This does not include items illegally “dumped” such as shopping carts (113), tires (459), car batteries, other car parts, construction debris, and other items.
