As I sit writing this, I’m warring with myself over if I should write the words that are bubbling to the surface. I like to use this platform to shed light on the issues and realities of Black folk, and Black folk in NH, more specifically. The beginning of this Women’s History Month however, has me reflecting on the sisterhood, how we act out solidarity with each other, and ways that we can continue to be better at building one another up in love and community.

On Saturday, March 9, the Party for Socialism and Liberation of Southern New Hampshire (PSL) organized an event at the Green Beautiful Cafe to commemorate the holiday. They called the event Revolutionary Women’s History: Craft and Learn. The theme of the event was to make collages from newspapers and magazines to express oneself.

That, according to author and eclipse chaser David Baron, is the equivalent of not traveling on April 8 to the path of totality for the solar eclipse.

The Manchester St. Patrick’s Parade Committee anounced on Thursday that Patrick O’Neil has been named as the  Grand Marshal of the 27th annual Manchester St. Patrick’s Parade, which will be held on Sunday, March 24. Each year, the parade names a Grand Marshal who is of Irish heritage and Catholic faith, who has contributed to the betterment of the greater Manchester area.

All proposals need to reflect original thinking or original adaptations and applications of existing programs, changed to be unique. “We are seeking out partners – from health care, education, business, and a dynamic cross-sector of industries – to invest in them as they create unique new ways to help solve the workforce challenges facing the health care industry in New Hampshire,” said HealthForce NH’s Senior Director Kate Luczko.
