Prior to several of Holy Family Academy’s athletics teams joining NHIAA competitive play in the midst of the pandemic in 2020, the Derryfield School really didn’t have a natural local rival in boys basketball.
As many slow down to embrace time with family and friends over the holidays, student athletes at Manchester Memorial are speeding ahead into the winter sports season. Here’s a glimpse at some of the teams and athletes taking aim at personal records, team accomplishments and plenty of fun as they enter the new year:
Though many teams from Manchester’s Central and West High School have been forced to consolidate due to lack of participation over the last few years, those who do participate continue to compete at a high level while representing the Queen City. On Friday, Manchester Memorial saw their chance at a NHIAA Division I post-season football berth slip away, falling 41-30 to Exeter in the final game of their 2022 regular season.
