In a statement by the yogurt maker’s parent company Danone, Chief Executive Officer Emmanuel Faber said the sale is part of an agreement to satisfy concerns by the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice over the potential for a dairy monopoly by the company, based in France, which is buying WhiteWave Food, makers of Silk, So Delicious, Horizon Organic, Wallaby Organic and other products.
