In response to “booming” demand for automated manufacturing workers, Manchester Community College (MCC) is hosting a job fair this summer to entice people to fill the growing vacancies in southern New Hampshire.  The fair is sponsored by the New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NHMEP) and is geared toward all adults interested in working in modern, high-paying jobs.

Gently used sneakers can be dropped off in collection bins at participating Planet Fitness locations (noted below) throughout the month-long campaign. Once collected, the sneakers will be processed by GotSneakers, a national organization that recycles and reuses footwear to reduce landfill waste and promote sustainability. All proceeds from the donations will directly benefit local Boys & Girls Clubs, helping to fund essential programs and services for youth.

On Monday, Dartmouth Cancer Center welcomed the first patients to its new radiation oncology center located at Dartmouth Health’s Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics Manchester, located at 100 Hitchcock Way in Manchester. The recent addition of a dedicated 6,750-square-foot space in the facility brings the same level of comprehensive care currently available in Lebanon to greater Manchester.
