As the Fiscal Year 2027 budget season continues for the Manchester School District, the Manchester Board of School Committee and the Manchester Board of Mayor and Aldermen held a joint meeting at Manchester Memorial High School to try and iron out any confusion over questions about the proposed school district budgets.

Ever since Hunt Pool was filled in 2025, many residents have reached out to me asking what can be done for families in Center City (Ward 5) to maintain access to a free, safe, and family-oriented pool. While I continue working with Parks & Rec and our Mayor on a long-term plan to replace Hunt Pool, a temporary solution came to mind that could help address the gap in the meantime.

Ringing in the country’s 250th anniversary means connecting the dots between our past and present. To that end, Goffstown Public Library has received support from New Hampshire Humanities to participate in US@250: Big Watch, a statewide series of community events based around a shared “watch” and discussion of a segment of THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, a new film directed by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein and David Schmidt.
