Students don’t feel safe and it doesn’t seem like the authorities are exerting a lot of power to fix this. It’s frustrating to a lot of people, not just the neighbors and it’s sad to see my community crumble.

read more…: Letters: City not doing enough to clean up crime, blightSadly, when Veterans Park was seeing an influx of homeless and ‘crowds’, the city simply removed the benches at the entrance to the park. It does nothing to deter them; it simply makes them migrate to another park or place to hang out.
