The New Hampshire Fisher Cats notched their first win of the season Friday night, defeating the Binghamton Rumble Ponies at Mirabito Stadium, 5-2. Zach Britton tied the game with a two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning and Garrett Spain put New Hampshire in front for good in his Double-A debut with a solo home run in the seventh.

Missy Mahoney has been playing women’s football for two years. Prior to joining the NH Rebellion, Mahoney was an ardent flag football player. A regular at every practice, Mahoney most often plays linebacker, though sometimes lines up at tight end. She will turn 38 on April 17.

Kelsey Silva, a resident of Dracut, Mass., has an easy smile no matter which position she is playing in for the New Hampshire Rebellion. Thus far, she has played at tackle, guard, tight end, fullback, wide receiver, and linebacker. Although she stands at little more than 5 feet tall, Silva, 23, has nevertheless found a way to utilize her strength to overpower larger opponents.

In a collaborative effort to engage local youth and promote community spirit, the Office of Youth Services (OYS) joined hands with MY TURN to organize a three-on-three basketball tournament over the February vacation. The event, tailored for middle and high school-aged youth in the Manchester region, saw enthusiastic participation from 42 energetic players.
