Granite Staters are being warned about a rise in fraudulent investment schemes on Meta platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Scammers are using deceptive ads, impersonations, and “deepfake” technology to lure victims into pump-and-dump schemes, confidence scams, and fraudulent cryptocurrency investments designed to drain their savings.

Gov. Kelly Ayotte on April 6 launched the first day of testing for New Hampshire’s Firefighters First Cancer Screening Initiative alongside public safety leaders, cancer advocates, and fire chiefs from across the state. The state has invested $5 million in the program, which was approved by the Governor and Executive Council in December 2025.

On environmental protection and land conservation it’s obvious this is not Teddy Roosevelt’s Republican Party, or even Richard Nixon’s, but the paint bill was bipartisan and had industry support for a reason. Unless you’re brainwashed by think-tank ideology (or prone to cravenly pandering to a “Don’t Tread on Me” base), it’s easy to see that a stewardship fee is, quite literally, a very small price to pay for a less-toxic environment.
