Morehead will succeed Richard Ober of Dublin, who will retire in July after 16 years as president and CEO of New Hampshire’s statewide community foundation.

I was at Manchester High School West when the Students for Environmental Action (SEA) extracurricular club spearheaded the school’s first recycling initiative for plastic bottles and aluminum cans. I don’t recall if it included glass, such as the many Yoohoo and Snapple beverage bottles I purchased from the cafeteria’s vending machines.

Last week, Department of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth notified most of the unions that have contracts with the department that their collective bargaining agreements are terminated, including American Federation of Government Employees and the and United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, which represent about 800 civilian workers at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, in Kittery, Maine.
