Dating back to 1988, the organization now serves clients (most of whom are elderly) in seven area towns (Chester, Danville, Derry, Hampstead, Londonderry, Sandown, and Windham), providing transportation to medical appointments, as well as friendly visits, help with grocery shopping, errands, light housekeeping, and other chores that allow folks to remain living independently in their homes.

The injunction, announced Wednesday, comes three weeks after the judge, Andrew Carter, of the U.S. District Court of New York, issued a temporary restraining order directing the U.S. Department of Labor to stop removing Job Corps students from housing, terminating jobs or otherwise suspending the nationwide program without congressional approval.

Construction for the Mark Stebbins Community Center is underway.  The Stebbins family joined community leaders, donors, supporters, and project managers to officially break ground at the site. The center is named after Mark Stebbins, who spent decades giving to community causes throughout New Hampshire.

Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County (HCMOW) is excited to announce the election of Carolyn Oguda as Chair of its Board of Directors for a three-year term, effective February 2025. HCMOW is the largest provider of Meals on Wheels in the state, and our agency is confident that Carolyn Oguda will continue to play a key role in helping wage our 48-year fight against hunger and isolation among older and disabled adults countywide.

As part of its ongoing commitment to community service, Mr. Mac’s Macaroni and Cheese is proud to announce a $3,000 donation to Harbor Care,  a New Hampshire-based nonprofit that provides vital services to homeless veterans. The donation is the result of Mr. Mac’s May 2025 fundraiser, during which the  company pledged to donate $1 for every Classic All-American Mac sold throughout the month.
