Sixty people were permanently displaced Friday night after a three-alarm fire that gutted an apartment complex at 136/138 Beech Hill Road.
At approximately 2:44 p.m., dispatch received a call for smoke in the building at 70 West River Dr. Companies were dispatched and reported heavy smoke coming from the second floor of a garden style apartment complex with 40 units occupied.
First responders were dispatched to multiple calls reporting a fire at 771 Grove St. on Monday at 7:08 a.m. Firefighters were advised the building was a duplex and when they arrived, fire and smoke were showing.
