Last year, the New Hampshire legislature passed SB221 amending RSA 654:39, requiring that the voter rolls be verified annually. This verification requires that the City Clerk’s Office and the Board of Registrars review the voter checklist and send a notice to any voters who have not voted in any election in the past five years and registered to vote prior to the 2024 State General Election.

Since 2000, the Manchester Urban Ponds Restoration Program has coordinated 124 volunteer cleanups at Manchester’s urban ponds. Other groups have coordinated 15 additional cleanups at the urban ponds / or have been assisted by the Program in doing so. Thus, a total of 139 volunteer cleanups have occurred at Manchester’s urban ponds.

The City of Manchester’s Department of Public Works (DPW) announced that construction of sidewalk improvements along Elm Street, from Central to Merrimack Street, adjacent to Veteran’s Memorial Park, will begin on March 24, 2025. The project will require partial sidewalk closures, with pedestrian detours in place throughout the construction period.

The City of Manchester’s overnight winter on-street, odd/even parking ban goes into effect on the morning of December 1st at 1:00 AM, and will run through April 15th. Where parking is normally allowed on a street, the Overnight Winter Parking Ban permits vehicles to be parked only on the odd numbered side of a street on odd numbered calendar months, and only on the even numbered side of a street on even numbered calendar months beginning after 1:00 AM and until 6:00 AM.
