There’s something achingly beautiful about landmarks. They connect to something deep within us we use to place ourselves in the larger world. Maybe, for you, it’s the sight of the Millyard, glimpsed from 93, lit up at night. Maybe it’s that first “Moose Crossing” sign on your way north. Maybe it’s classic Manchester, like the Red Arrow. Whatever the landmark, they are anchors in our personal geography – how we know we are home, or very nearly there.

She’s the recipient of the New England Booksellers Award for Fiction, New Hampshire’s Literary Award, and Cosmopolitan Magazine’s award for Fearless Fiction. And the honors beat goes on…Picoult was named in 2018 as one of Princeton’s  10 most influential living alumni. Partial company is Michelle Obama and Jeff Bezos.

Back on June 13, this act released a new album titled “Find What You Need,” and they have a bunch of shows happening around the New England region in support of it. This includes a stop at Jimmy’s Jazz & Blues Club in Portsmouth on July 21 with the music starting at 7pm. The upcoming show is part of the venue’s “Local Artist Series” that takes place on Monday nights.

Each certificate handed out during the graduation ceremony represented more than just classroom hours — it symbolized resilience, community, and hope for a better future in a new homeland.

The show, which is titled “Cute Fun Music For Cute Fun People,” starts at 8 p.m. as Paint The Town Dead, Bastard Curse and Trading Tombstones will be rounding out the bill with Kinetic City Events presenting it as part of their monthly “Showcase 603” series.

She has served as the President of the New Hampshire chapter of the American Association of Teachers of French since 2013. She is the Past President of the American Council of Québec Studies whose board she has served on since 2014.

The awards recognize excellence in Catholic media in North America.
