Earlier this month, the Hooking Zoning Board of Adjustment voted 4-1 to approve variance requests allowing Chelmsford Hooksett Properties LLC to construct 160 residential units in the former Cigna building at 2 College Park Drive, a large step in what could become a significant addition to the Greater Manchester area’s available portfolio of housing.

At the April 15th budget hearing, hundreds of community members showed up in support of our school district, with 60 speaking in favor of adequate funding. Only one individual spoke in opposition, a reflection of the disconnect between educators, students, families, and the reckless actions of some members of our Board of Mayor and Aldermen.

Blood donations are relatively quick and easy. There is a list of medications and conditions that will disqualify donors from giving. That list can be found on the Red Cross website and is given to donors before an appointment. Donors must be over 110 pounds and above 17 years of age without parental consent. Donations must be eight weeks apart to allow time for recovery.

A total of 60 people spoke at a Special Meeting of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen on Manchester Mayor Jay Ruais’ Fiscal Year 2026 Manchester School District Budget, with almost all of them speaking with frustration regarding the gap between the mayor’s budget and the Manchester Board of School Committee’s proposed Fiscal Year 2026 School District budget.
